Avda. Antonio Belón, 2
Marbella CP: 29602 (MÁLAGA)
In the mid 1960s, Mr Francisco Lima González, got the great idea of building a hotel near the sea in Marbella. The hotel was opened on the 4th April, 1965 in a building of seven floors and 64 rooms named “Residencia Lima”. The hotel also had a bar-restaurant on the ground floor called “Virazon”. Everything was decorated in Spanish style.
Mr and Mrs Díaz were hired in order to manage and maintain the hotel. They gave it a pleasant and homely environment. After Mr Francisco Lima’s death in 1974, the hotel was inherited by their children who continue with the family business, but called nowadays HOTEL LIMA.
In 1999, the hotel was totally renewed with full bathrooms inside rooms, direct dial phones, hot water provided by solar power, satellite television, safety deposit box, air conditioning and heating.
Mr & Mrs Díaz retired in 2005 and Mr Jose Antonio García and Mrs Carmen Gutierrez took over from them. The hotel has made changes in this new phase in order to maintain its reputation as one of the most highly regarded, good value hotels in Marbella. The renewal of its solar hot water system (used this as mean power), all the saving measurements and the perfect environmental management keep our hotel meeting the environmental standards of today. The change of our buffet, installation of card locks, renewal and cleaning up of our solarium on the top of the hotel and improvements of our rooms have been done during these last three years. In August 2008 we installed WiFi (surcharge) inside the hotel.
